Broadcast & Stadium Motion Design

Kings League, 2025-2026

Kings League is a global 7-a-side football brand that mixes real competitive football with the energy of online entertainment. It runs leagues across several regions and two world championships a year, broadcast in 120+ countries.

Overview

When I joined the Kings League motion team, the company was scaling at full speed.

During my time it grew from 3 to 7 regions and 5 to 9 leagues, broadcast in 120+ countries. A big part of my job was making sure the broadcast and motion assets held together. Over 2025-2026 I worked on productions across 30+ regional splits, events, and global competitions.

Expressions & scripts

The only way to keep up the scaling was to lean into systems. Each season the look got refreshed, and every participating team needed its own version of the same assets — so I worked from shared component libraries and color variables in Figma.

Where motion got repetitive, I used expression-driven templates to handle it, e.g. for swapping text between languages, or repositioning elements to fit each country's LED screens setup. To document the common specs and assets I proposed and co-built a Notion-based team knowledge base for asset specs, task documentation, and an AE expressions library adapting my AE Expressions Workbook.

The assets I made get handed off to internal and external broadcast specialists to run live, so they had to stay clean and consistent across every competition and team.

Global competitions

My biggest projects are the global competitions, the tournaments where I created the broadcast visuals and selected stadium screens.

Other projects

I also worked on smaller projects in 2026 like Mercato Kings League, Queens League Spain Live Tryouts 2026, and the online programs Kings Club Spain and Queens Club Spain.

I built the broadcast asset system for this live-televised event, where players are picked to fill open roster spots before the season starts.

Tools & Systems

The tools I build to speed things up usually start as personal side projects — made outside the day-to-day work, partly to make my own job faster and partly because I enjoy it. I share them with the team and keep using them myself. Automating the repetitive parts is just how I like to work, even when it's not in the brief.

Batch Rendering

A script that preps batch exports straight to Adobe Media Encoder picking up all dropdown controller options from the selected comps in seconds instead of clicking through them one by one. Built to take the friction out of sending things to render.

Light Sweep auto-adapt script

After weeks of producing the Kings Club and Queens Club shows, I'd applied the same light-sweep effect by hand more times than I could count — so I built a script that applies it and adapts it to the brand automatically. It reads each layer's size, position and on-screen time, so when the text or layout changes, the sweep too. Three controls — loop duration, loop count, time offset — help to tune it without ever touching the effect itself.
